Welcome to orangecountynotary.co. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the services provided by Orange County Notary. By accessing our website or scheduling our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or our services.
About Our Services
Orange County Notary provides mobile notary public services throughout Orange County and surrounding areas. We strive to provide prompt, professional, and reliable service while complying with all applicable California laws governing notarial acts.
Our services are limited to performing authorized notarial acts. We do not provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, or advise customers regarding the legal effect of any document unless specifically authorized by law.
Customer Responsibilities
By requesting our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when scheduling an appointment.
- Present valid, acceptable identification as required under California law.
- Ensure that all documents are complete before notarization, unless blank spaces are legally permitted.
- Personally appear before the notary at the time of notarization when required by law.
- Confirm that you understand the document you are signing and that you are signing willingly.
The notary may refuse to perform a notarization if required by California law or if there is reason to believe the signer does not meet the legal requirements.
Appointment Policy
Appointments are scheduled based on availability. While every effort is made to arrive on time, unforeseen traffic, weather, emergencies, or other circumstances may occasionally affect arrival times.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide as much notice as possible.
Travel fees may still apply for late cancellations or appointments where the signer is unavailable upon arrival.
Fees
Service fees are based on California notarial fees, travel fees, and any additional services requested.
Pricing may vary depending on factors such as travel distance, appointment time, document quantity, after-hours service, weekends, holidays, hospitals, detention facilities, or other special circumstances.
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Identification Requirements
California law requires satisfactory proof of identity before a notarial act can be performed.
Acceptable identification must meet current California legal requirements. If proper identification cannot be presented, the notarization cannot proceed.
Refusal of Service
Orange County Notary reserves the right to refuse service when permitted or required by law, including situations where:
- Proper identification cannot be verified.
- A signer appears unwilling or under duress.
- A signer appears unable to understand the document.
- The document is incomplete in a manner prohibited by law.
- The requested notarization is not authorized under California law.
- Fraudulent, illegal, or suspicious activity is suspected.
Refusing an unlawful notarization protects both the customer and the integrity of the notarization process.
No Legal Advice
Orange County Notary is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Our notaries cannot explain legal documents, recommend which notarial certificate should be used, determine whether a document is appropriate for your situation, or advise you regarding your legal rights or obligations.
If you require legal guidance, you should consult a licensed attorney.
